Alem is the customer that had a gasket sealing issue due to the heads having the combustion chamber being open past the sealing area of the metal ring on stock head gasket. Dennis became paranoid because of Alem's engine, they both had bought IPP engines at a similar time. Dennis's engine displayed no issues when we were tuning. The next day while we were still there, Dennis noticed a oily film in the top of the radiator, he asked me if I thought he had a head gasket issue like Alem. Dennis jumped to the conclusion that the leak was due to IPP not installing factory washers on the heads, I said I did not think he had a issue and that it was likely a small amount of oil that got into the cooling passages in assembly. We also have tuned at least 100 IPP engines across the Country and Canada, Alem's is the first I have seen with a issue on a tune trip. I told Dennis to flush his coolant and see how it is..... I told Alem to get in touch with Kyle and get it apart to see what happened, I knew it could not be a washer issue as coolant was blowing out at 12 PSI with low timing. I just got off the phone with Dennis to make sure i have first hand current info, his car is still running great, he changed the coolant and it is clean. He never had coolant in the oil.
